The name of this fixture might be a bit misleading despite being as accurate as possible. “Hilton” of course labels the hotel this chandelier was designed for but “Paris” definitely names the location and not the lady! So this chandelier was designed at first for the Hilton Hotel in Paris, France.
It is constructed of bent pipes forming an inverted fountain. It might be noteworthy that this fixture marks the first spotting of the now famous Met Sputniks, a year before they had their breakthrough with the Metropolitan Opera in NY.
