Influenced by French Empire Austria developed a humble type of bag-and-tent chandeliers. From this derived the typical ″Wiener Grüstl″, a delicate frame of brass with modest chains of crystal for decoration. Pieces of this type feature a modest elegance through unpretentious use of decorative fittings.
